So this week I want to talk about one of my favorite Tree House beers and that's JULIUS. This is considered the #3 best IPA in. the. world. according to RATEBEER.COM..and it's freshly brewed right here in Western MA! Beer Heaven is only a short drive away (if you live in Western MA)
To the right is a picture of the old Tree House Julius cans. Although the newer cans absolutely rock (see above), the old can screamed fresh craft beer. They just can it up and slap a sticker on it. Awesome.
Julius is one of Tree House Beer signatures. Like I mentioned this beer is an IPA. It has 1.6oz per gallon of American hops. Although it is an IPA, it has citrus, mango, and passion fruit notes. And surprisingly it is 6.5% alcohol. Tree House refers to it as "freakishly drinkable" and I have to say I can't disagree.
The color is a very welcoming grapefruit juice-like hue. Citrusy on the nose and hop forward up front with just the right amount of alcohol and a clean finish making this brew nothing short of crushable.
Today (10/21) Tree House had Julius on tap. Keep track of the daily updates on the Tree House website of what's on tap.
Let me know if you guys have the chance to try it this weekend!
Cheers!
Hi, do you know if you can purchase that beer at the brewery? Or do you have to consume it there?
ReplyDeleteHi Joanna, you actually can't consume alcohol at the brewery except small tastings they give out. You can purchase growlers and select cans that their distributing for the day. It's nice because they always have something different to offer!
ReplyDeleteIts very neat that everyday they are serving something different. A very unique way to do business.
ReplyDeleteIt's a neat concept that keeps customers engaged and always wondering what's on tap for the week!
