My name is Austin. I am a 23 year old college student. I am also a member of the AIC Hockey team. Between school and hockey two of my favorite things are music and beer. I chose to write this blog specifically on a local craft brew company in MA; Tree House Brewing Co.
Long story short- my older cousins are lovers of craft beer. My cousin recently moved home so I spend a lot of time with him. I quickly noticed my cousin was always drinking a new kind of beer, one typically that I've never heard of. The interesting labels, names, and hype around these unique beers made me realize there was more to beer outside of my standard Coors Light. And then I discovered Tree House Brewing Co. My first experience was actually this past summer. I hopped in the car one hot afternoon this summer with my cousin and girlfriend and headed to Tree House Brewing Co. We were driving through the winding streets of Monson, MA and finally came upon the rustic, barn-looking building. There were crowds gathered in packs around the barn with their arms full of 16oz cans of beers. Some were taking pictures with the Tree House sign in the front and others were admiring the colorful labels on the cans as if they had discovered a magical creature. This was a whole new world of beer I didn't even know existed.
Tree House Brewing Co. is unique because they do not sell their beer outside of the brewery. I quickly learned that people drive hours and hours just to purchase a few beers. Another reason why Tree House is unique is because they limit the amount of beer you can purchase at a time. They also only offer certain beer on certain days. There is always something different to try!
Check out the Tree House website below. You can learn more about the people who work at the brewery, read the daily blog about the beers they have on tap, and buy some Tree House gear! Their Twitter link is also below for live updates

Below is a video about Tree House Brewing Co. It's really interesting to hear about the backstory of how Tree House started and how big they've gotten in such little time:
I look forward to sharing my experiences and writing some beer reviews for you guys. I'd love to hear if anyone else has tried Tree House and your thoughts on their beers!
Cheers!
Austin, I love how you have such a connection to the brand. It seems like a great beer that I would love to try. You showed what Tree House was all about.
ReplyDeleteThanks, David! I'm going to get into some of my favorite beers that they offer in my blogs in the upcoming weeks that I would definitely recommend to try out. Stay tuned!
DeleteAwesome blog. I don't drink, but I bet the people that do drink just cant get enough of the beer from this place!
ReplyDeleteThanks, David! Glad you enjoyed it. It's quite the phenomenon and people go crazy for it. It's very up and coming too so it won't be too surprising if you start to see more Tree House on social media!
DeleteHey Austin, it's nice to see breweries in our area popping up and becoming so successful. Iron Duke Brewing opened not too long ago in Ludlow and is packed every weekend. I'm looking forward to hearing more about some of your favorite beers at Tree House Brewing. I'll have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteHi Tatiana! Yes I definitely agree. I have heard of that brewery also and have been meaning to check it out!
Deletei purposely sought out this blog, the beer looks great and the video really helps. i enjoyed reading your story about how you came across the company, if you need help on these beer reviews i will volunteer my services
ReplyDeleteHey Garrett- glad to hear! Have you had Tree House before? Would love to hear what your favorite ones have been so far.
DeleteI am really in to craft beers but I had never heard of this place. I almost went to check it out this weekend after reading your blog. It sounds like a very relaxed place. I'd love to try out some of their fall selection. Keep sharing!
ReplyDeleteHi Joanna! If you're into craft beer- I highly recommend taking the drive and going. Follow Tree House on social media or the link above on their website and click on "blog" on their website to get daily updates on what they're canning. It doesn't get more fresh than Tree House!
DeleteI am not a huge fan of craft beers but after reading your blogs I might be. Which one is your favourite? I am looking forward to your next post!
ReplyDeleteHey AIC Hockey 14 (Chris, I'm assuming)- it's definitely a whole different side of beer as compared to the standard Bud Light, Coors Light, etc. Asking me what my favorite Tree House Beer is like asking me what my favorite Bruce song is- i'll give you a different answer everyday. Today, i'm going to say Julius is my favorite. **hint hint- what my topic this week will be about**
DeleteNice start. Went to a local CT beer festival and don't think I saw Tree House there. Where is the beer sold on tap? Anywhere?
ReplyDeleteThey are actually just starting to roll out tap beer! Below is the link to their "On tap" page. If you go to the bottom you will see a handful of places they're starting to distribute tap beer.

Oh, wow. It's crazy that they don't sell the beer outside of the brewery, buy they certainly know how to build up hype.
ReplyDeleteExactly! It's a great promo. They're starting to release kegs for tap beer to a handful of restaurants but I don't think they can keep up with the demand!
